Teaming up with Driveco, a prominent player in the fast-charging market, Qwello's ambitious plan encompasses the installation of these stations across three dozen municipalities, including the bustling city of Rennes. The project is backed by the Energy Union of Ille-et-Vilaine (SDE 35), which has facilitated the collaborative effort by allowing local municipalities to provide input on the selection of charging locations. According to Vincent Briola, the General Director of Qwello France, this synergistic approach combines Driveco's expertise in fast chargers with Qwello's pioneering technology for standard charging stations, resulting in a comprehensive and user-friendly solution.
Complementing Existing Infrastructure
The upcoming installation is poised to complement Qwello’s earlier efforts, which included launching the first 15 charging points along the Mediterranean coast in Montpellier in 2023. Furthermore, Qwello is already working on an additional 85 charging stations scattered across major cities including Sèvremont and Clermont-Ferrand.
